I awaken this morning with this message in my head, and I could not return to my sleep. It has been nagging at me all day so I chose to share it with you. this message is not targeted at anyone particular church, so please be open minded, and remember why/who put Jesus on the cross in the first place.

Remember That Some of Us Cannot Handle the Truth.
Over the years, it has baffled me as to how Christians literally go through deplorable, and demoting acts of faith all in the name of Jesus, when much of what is needed, is that we simply help one another. Many times I have observed how the unsaved or homeless help one another. They will prepare themselves a meal, by a fire place, while the others will bring pans, food, etc. When they finish, everyone of them will have eaten, and they will start over the next day to prepare themselves for the same task. Believe it or not, they don't argue about who should get what.

Many people are hurting and are experiencing a need for their brethren and sisters of the same household of faith to reach out and help them through these difficult times and transitions. the last thing they need is for someone to brow beat them into further hurt (Webb).

I have watched many people loose their jobs, and we all know that when people loose their jobs, the first thing that becomes of an urgency is the need to provide food, shelter, and utilities for them, and their love ones. Yet, the body of believers hold it against "the believer" that there mouth, their looks, the way they speak, or maybe their gender, cause them to loose their jobs. Some will even say they didn't belong on this type of job in the first place. They feel some how that it is the believer's fault, to be out of work, because God provides care for his own, that is, until they too become jobless. Some feel that you should go to work even if the check you receive will not cover your gas expense to travel back and forth to the job. Yet, we preach and teach about a God that tells us to love one another "indeed" and by doing this; men shall know that you are Christ-like disciples.

It behooves me that throughout the whole world we have a huge body of believers that can chase for every one=1000, and for two=10,000 and put them to flight. Yet, we cannot chase the main issues like how to help our fellow man when he/she is in need, and hurting. We have 2,039 million in the Christian fellowship, and 34,000 separate Christian groups (http://www.religioustolerance.org/worldrel.html), and each group declares they are the only one that has God's favor.

If you call or write for prayer you are asked for a $40 or up donation, if you call and ask to get help, they will send you to the Department of Social Services, if you ask for shelter, they will send you to housing and other areas in communities. Don't forget, if you need help to pay your utilities, they will send you to the unemployment office to fill out more paper work that will come back to you in the mail, and say, we could not find a job for you at this time, and you have zero income as your balance. Mine you, these are parts of the taxes that you have contributed at the end of the year. The Just-Over-Broke check you received, had two or three hundred dollars taken from them to be deposited to the big cash pot.
I have researched and observed how it is that we treat one another in the name of Jesus, and quite frankly, I am sick. I believe this is the reason why God spoke to the seven Churches. We have 275 known denominations, and have the freedom to worship in the USA, and some of the most popular areas in the world to glorify God, and we cannot help our closest neighbors, because they don't belong to the click-clack groups. (This is world wide, country wide, global wide observation, not only one church). Always think like Jesus, he could no longer do any more work, because of their unbelief. He shook the dust and went around the cities to help others.
Truth Transcends all Boundaries/Genders
We spend time having anniversaries, programs, and other fundraisers in the name of Jesus, and we tell the other, you come to me this time, I'll come to yours next time. All of this is done in the box ,of course, but those jobs of Helps (Ephesian 4:16 TCNIV) (Read from (TCKJV 4:16-32, Chapter 5)that are needed outside the box are overlooked, and in some cases are treated with hostility, disrespect, scorn and scolded that there is no help for you hear, leave. James 4:17, reads to the believers, therefore to him that knows to do good, and do it not, to him is sin. Also read (James 2:1-12) while we are chewing on this fat, don't get angry. Just repent. We have observed how the believing body has chosen to kill one another with deadly and poisonous words. Yet, Gods Grace has sustained the faithful to continue for his name sake.
PROVERBS 11:25
I am reminded of the time when Elijah showed up at the widow's home, and asked her for water and a cake of bread. She replied, I have just enough to make a cake for my son and me, and we will eat and die. She was a believer, and, God knew were she lived, and he sent Elijah straight to her door, while she was picking up sticks for fire to cook her last cake of bread. He was a man of God, (Prophet) and he was hungry and thirsty from his journey. He said something like this to her. If you will get me some water, and make me a cake of bread while she walking to ward the kitchen.
In English, it means, help me. I have a need, and I need you to feed me a cake of your bread, and give me something to drink. It is amazing how God can send you to someone, but you think you need them, and when you arrive you realize that God is sending you to HELP them, and you don't have anything to help, except your faith. Elijah asked her for essentials, and he told her, if she would help make him a little cake, after that, make she and the a cake (It means WE Will Share).
By assignment, God knew that Elijah would get the job done, and take care of the widow woman, while he helped her to meet her needs. He met her needs, but it was a requirement that she had to perform first. Cook his cake first. Is it just like God to test your level of faith, by telling you to give first, in order to receive your abundance. Note, that Elijah needed a place to stay, as well, so, while he was working for God, God was meeting his need, and he promised the widow that the meal, nor the cruse of oil would run out until the Lord send rain upon the earth (I Kings, Chap. 17:8-24; 19:41-45).
WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD
We Are All One: Full interview with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee from One the Movie - YouTube
Without the actions that cause us to step out on our faith, and results become present (which is works) we are not justified by our works alone. Our faith is complete and made perfect when we use these greater good opportunities to help "our own" of the house hold of faith (Gal 6:10).
The scripture that comes to memory, Jesus said,"for he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoice against judgement. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him"? It really should say, can faith save him alone? Can a person that is stuck in the snow pull his/her car out, if they cannot get traction or a tire grip, I think not. A tow of some kind must show up, and give them a nudge. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of us Christians say to them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone. (James, Chapter 2).
GMOMS WAS BORNE (1990)
GMOMS was borne out of times like these.
Let us remember, it is God that gives us the power to gain wealth. See thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? It is not until you operate in the the will of God that we are perfecting one another, and demonstrating the exact kind of love and kindness he gave us.
Forgive your brothers and sisters that have been over taken by life's circumstances, and issues, but for goodness sake, stop saying to the people of God that you are God's pure religions/denominations when you refuse to help one another. James (1:27).
Jesus Said, We Would Do Greater Things
Why do we take all year to ignore the needs of others, and then at the holiday seasons, we show up late with gifts and items, that was needed 6 months ago? (Jn. 13-15; Isa. 58:, Duet 16:17) We come with a camera crew, and all the excitement to give items to people that have lost their hope, jobs, and some have lost their minds, since July, thus we can take a snap shot to prove to (IRS) and of course, not to God, that we gave. (Mt.6:1-3; Lk 11:41) We cover over their pain with a band aid, and go home feeling like we did a good thing. We leave the people in the same mess that have overtaken them, some strange entanglement. Our consultation to them is the Lord will make away some how, and with those very words we have in our parsonage, old homes that are weathered by the lack of the need for people to live in them. We have several people that need someone to stay and help them around their homes, until they recover. We play the drop a word game to certain ones, so that they will know what they are suppose to say in order to receive help from you.
Blessed to Do Greater Things
You would have thought that with the education level of some of our greatest temples, and communities, we would be smart enough to realize that God is not a sleep. Do we really believe that God is blind, or stupid? Maybe we think he is hard of hearing, and he didn't here those prayers of the righteous. There are folks that are wiped out from life issues, storms, soldiers that are returning home injured, and yes, motherless children, afflicted widows, which none are in the spotlight. For example, the widow from Zarephath, was working on her last meal and last fire. Can you imagine what she was feeling in a time of famine. She was probably thinking to herself that the Lord had not showed up yet, but just in case, she will cook this last cake of bread for them, and they will die full. She had asked all the believers she knew, but they evidently didn't believe in the help thy neighbor act, or help those from your household of faith act. Elijah was assigned to be at a certain place at a certain time. He showed up, and physically completed his assignment. He had other work ahead, but God interrupted his plans to fulfill the fervent prayers of the righteous, and restore such a one back to the loving Grace of God. I can imagine that he was a pleasant help in her time of trouble, and her son was glad to have male bonding, as well. He made a believer out of the child to believe that there are good people still doing good things on the face of the earth. I can imagine that he showed the lad how to do some things around the home, so that his mother would not have to worry. I have always said trust God, if you choose the other, you will surely lose. I have listened to others tell us who we need to be with, or who we need in your lives, well church, God's business is about people.
GOD'S BUSINESS IS ABOUT PEOPLE
He wants us to take care of those that cannot help themselves, and need a nudge in the right direction. Who do you know other than God, that will stick closer than a friend/brother? Why do we proclaim that we are his children, and do the opposite of his word? No doubt, we all have to bear our own cross, but let it not be from the weight of our fellow Christians. Let's stop the madness, and begin to move forward, by reaching out to those in real need, and take someone to work with you, because they need a ride, and your car is empty daily. Help someone meet their utility bills, buy some pampers for the babies, and stop holding a grudge, because the mother had the child out of wedlock, without the presence of one of your sons to accompany her through the ordeal. Give a real dinner party and invite people that need a meal and a job. Help them make the connection with real people and real jobs. Go in your closets and pull some of those suits that you bought but, have not worn for years. Give someone "one" of your many electronic devices, and teach them how to use it. Throw someone that you know a party, because you want them to no how much you care and love them for standing with you throughout all these years. Pray for someone, then help them as Elijah did to "make it rain", that is, if God allows you. After doing all of these things, then, throughout the year, then you can say, you have done it to the least of these. Jesus said to his disciple as the lady with the two mites emptied out her pouch, she has given the most out of all that was given. In other words, you save a holiday account so you can give to the elderly, sick, etc, and it comes out to about $5-25,50 per person, but you have a $500,000 account, in case of emergency, or something happens, we must back up your investments. I am not sure about that, because I know that we need to plan, and if we fail to plan; we are going to fail. So are we saying as a world of believers, that our neighbors "well being" is not important to God? How does God measure faith? Is it in dollars and cents, only? Is it based on how much you give, and what happens to those that are not working, and cannot give? Will he tell them the way without helping them to learn the way? Will he blame the jobless and homeless, for the closing of the plants, businesses, and factories that have folded, and did not pay their employees their wages? Aren't we " so special" when we can call on the same God to help us, but we have charged others to be more wealthy, educated, and prosperous, etc., as per our requirement in order for them to receive help from us? How God is that? We, the believing body, require more of God's favor than God requires of us. Especially, in the household of faith. We are not willing to give others the unmerited favor that God has bestow upon us. We will make them fill out forms, and investigate their whole life's history, and by the time it is finished the loving body of believers are angry, because the needy body received help by the whole body of the house hold of faith.
Imagine Me
I was listening to Kirk Franklin's song, Imagine Me, and it moved me to reflect on the actions that I used to help others to go through to get through, and how others have helped me, yet, It was not my fellow Christians that helped me in my darkest, and most difficult times. I thank God that he sent those people that were on time; I obeyed and helped them, because I was always encumbered with WWJD. (Acts 20:35) I don't want him to say to me depart from me, you sinner of iniquity. I took aback, and rolled up my sleeves and helped them to become greater, and more knowledgeable in the process. Somewhat like Elijah. I didn't need to know there origin, nor in some cases did I want to know. The more you know of the situation, the more responsible you are charged by God. After Elijah stayed and helped the family, the child became deadly sick, and I take it that he died. The mother quickly turned on Elijah, and said (HELP) what are doing to me. You came to bring judgments on me for my past sins, and the bible said, he took the child to the upper chambers, and lay on him three times, and then cried out O Lord God, I pray thee, let the child's soul come unto him again. (HELP) Now she gave the child to Elijah limp, and when he brought the child back to her he was alive. He said see thou son lives.
I BELIEVE YOU ARE FROM GOD
She said to him, Now, by this, I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth. Let us begin to do the will of God which requires action (works) to carry out the examples of Christ. God did not want us to be lost so he sent Jesus to teach us by example, and then he became the example. This is what makes the word true in us. She did not say too much about the food, and oil, but when it came to her child, she did like anybody that have the love of God in them for their child. It is funny that the man of God was in need at that same time too, but he was on assignment from the Lord. God will give you some strange assignments on the way to your own demise, or your victory, but he is still God. In the process he refreshes your faith, and encourages that "thing" that was dead in you to come alive. She was restored to know that there is a God, and Elijah was a man of God. If you don't get it, I'll understand, but if it is your assignment to HELP others, don't bypass the others, to get you. In all of God's businesses, he keeps records.
SUMMATION
What say you, my Christian friends, are we helping our fellow man? How do we say "help" in your English language, so that we all can understand it?
Smokie Norful said it best, I Need You "Now" Lord. Remember, there are no U-Hauls following the rich or the poor man's hearse. It is only people that did not labor for a dime of your money, and those are the ones that will receive it with the exception of the family (Ec. Chapter 3 and I Peter 5:10-11).
